The Site
The Cottonwood Passivhaus will be located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (a suburb of Edmonton) in a new subdivision called Forest Ridge. The corner lot sits on top of a significant slope oriented toward some farmers’ fields and the nearby river valley to the southwest.
The house capitalizes on the slope to offer ground-level access from the basement, and an elevated rear deck with 180-degree views.
